Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Templit (“Templit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by Nathan Hart, a sole proprietor based in the State of Georgia, United States, collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and application (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to the practices described below. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in our Terms of Service.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and, if you use Google sign-in, the profile information Google provides (name, email, profile image ID). Your password, if you use email/password sign-in, is managed by our authentication provider Supabase and is not accessible to us in plaintext.
- Billing information. If you subscribe, Stripe collects and processes your payment details (card number, billing address, etc.) on our behalf. We do not receive or store your full card number. We do receive a Stripe customer ID, subscription status, plan tier, invoice history, and the last four digits and brand of your payment method.
- Content you create. Templates, prompts, scripts, uploaded media, and generated voiceovers, images, and video clips are stored on our infrastructure (via Supabase) so we can deliver the Service to you.
- Usage and device data. When you use the Service we automatically collect log data such as IP address, browser and device identifiers, pages visited, actions taken, and timestamps. We use this for security, debugging, and product analytics.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and autosave your in-progress work — these are essential for the Service to function. With your consent, we also use Sentry to monitor errors and crashes. You can change your consent at any time from the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of this page. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
- Communications. If you email us, we retain your message and contact information to respond and to maintain support records.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
- create and manage your account and authenticate you;
- process subscriptions and payments and send billing notices and receipts;
- generate AI voiceovers, images, video clips, and other outputs based on your inputs, which requires transmitting those inputs to third-party AI providers (see Section 3);
- respond to your requests and provide support;
- send service-related messages such as security alerts, plan changes, product updates, and policy updates;
- monitor for abuse, fraud, and violations of our Terms of Service;
- analyze usage to understand how features are used and improve them; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce our rights.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited information only as described below.
Service providers (sub-processors). We share information with third parties that help us operate the Service. These providers only receive the information they need to perform their function and are bound by confidentiality obligations:
- Supabase — database, authentication, file storage, and realtime updates. Stores your account, templates, generated assets, and job metadata.
- Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing.
- Google — OAuth sign-in if you choose “Continue with Google.”
- OpenRouter — routing requests to large language models used for planning, scripting, and text generation.
- fal.ai — hosted inference for image, video, and voice models.
- Modal — GPU compute for running open-source models we host ourselves.
- Sentry — error monitoring and crash reporting (loaded only with your consent).
Prompts and inputs you submit to AI features are transmitted to the relevant AI provider in order to generate the requested output. We instruct providers, where contractually available, not to use your inputs or outputs to train their models, but we do not independently control their infrastructure. Please review their policies directly for details.
Other users (marketplace). If you publish a template to the marketplace, its contents (including any included media and text) are made visible to other Service users. Do not publish content that you do not want others to see or import.
Legal and safety. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; to enforce our Terms; to protect the rights, property, or safety of Templit, our users, or others; or to detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
Business transfers. If Templit is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you if a transaction materially changes how your information is handled.
4. Data retention
We retain your account and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information and content within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations (for example, billing records), resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Backups may persist for a limited additional period before being overwritten in the normal course of operation.
5. Your choices and rights
Access, update, delete. You can view and update your account information in your settings. You can request deletion of your account and personal information at any time by emailing nhart11474@gmail.com.
Subscription management. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the billing area of your account.
Email. You can opt out of non-essential product emails using the unsubscribe link in those messages. We will still send you essential service messages (for example, about your account, billing, security, or changes to our policies).
Regional rights. Depending on where you live (for example, the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or certain U.S. states including California), you may have additional rights, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to restrict or object to certain processing, or to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email above. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any right.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, scoped database access, and provider-level authentication. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International users
Templit is operated from the United States. If you use the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our sub-processors operate. These jurisdictions may have different data-protection laws than your home country. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and where appropriate we will notify you by email or in-product notice. Your continued use of the Service after the updated policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
10. Contact
Questions about this Privacy Policy, or requests related to your personal information, can be sent to nhart11474@gmail.com.
